1980-

For 1980 the series changed to a single class(GT-1) format, with strict limitations on turbos. It was hoped that the glory days of the old T/A would return, and throughout the 1980's and 1990's the SCCA saw some of it's closest racing ever with this "new" class. Sadly, this would be the last competitive season for the H07 racers.
One week after Mt. St. Helens erupted, Mark Pielsticker would take a brilliant win at Portland. He would later finish fifth in the season championship.

Mark Pielsticker - Monza(Gallant #002) - S/ F/1 #33 (This marked the last professional road-racing win for an H07 in North America. Win #4 of four in T/A ever)

1981-

By 1981, H07's were relegated to being "also-rans" in a series where just a year before they were in contention for the championship. The glory days of previous seasons were quickly fading away for the H07 racers. The only high points of the season would be Jerry Hansen Qualifying SECOND(!!) at Brainerd and Mark Pielsticker finishing fourth at Portland.

1982-

1982 would be known as the "ALSO RAN" year for H07's. Although monza's had no trouble qualifying, breaking into the top ten would be a struggle. Mike Rounds at Road Atlanta(12th), Ardi Oji at at Sears Point#1(11th), and Mark Pielsticker at Laguna Seca(11th) would come close, though.

H07's still show their presence in the 1983 T/A, but the only high points of the year is the appearance of the Buick Skyhawk of Bob Lee with a Buick V6.

1984-

After competing for nine years in trans am, The H07's were nearing the "Retirement Age" as far as race cars go. Battling for "Also-ran" status was very disrespectful for these fine roadracers. Just two appearances for 1984.

Road America -

    Keith Feldott - Monza(DeKon #1016) - S/21 F/23 #46
Green Valley -
    Glenn Fox - Monza(Hinchcliff) - S/17 F/22 #17

1985-

Due to the five year rule for SCCA Trans-Am car model types, this would be the last season H07's would be legal to run. By this time H07's were lucky to even qualify, having no real chance of cracking the top ten. This would be a sad end to a car that was near dominate from 1977-1980.
